Jane Lumley Prize
Deadline October 31 (must be received by this date; don't enter before September 1), formerly November 1. Neutral free contest awards $300 and publication for an unpublished poem by a writer who may have previously published a single full-length book of poetry. Publication will also be awarded to two finalists and up to seven honorable mentions. Entrants may have published chapbooks and have had poems selected for publication in literary journals/anthologies, but works submitted to the contest must be previously unpublished. Maximum two entries per author, where an entry is a maximum of 8 poems (totaling not more than 10 pages). Enter online. Sponsored by Hermeneutic Chaos Literary Journal, a digital publication released six times annually. Named after Jane Lumley, a 16th-century English translator and poet whose work was not published on the basis of her gender.
