Michael Marks Awards for Poetry Pamphlets
Deadline September 23 (must be received by this date), formerly September 17. Highly recommended free contest gives two top awards of 5,000 pounds: one for the author of a poetry chapbook published or self-published in the UK between September 18 of the previous year and the contest deadline, and one for an outstanding UK publisher of poetry chapbooks. Winning poet will become Harvard University's Michael Marks Poet in Residence in Greece in the Spring/Summer following the deadline year. Books should be no more than 36 pages. Poet or publisher should complete entry form online before sending 6 hard copies of book. Co-sponsored by the Wordsworth Trust and the British Library.
