Stonecrop Review: “Roots/Routes” Issue
Deadline July 31 (must be received by this date). Stonecrop Review is an online journal that explores the urban natural world through fiction, creative nonfiction, art, and photography. For Issue #2, they are seeking submissions on the theme of "Roots/Routes", as well as open-themed entries. Editors say, "These homophones might have different meanings on the surface, but just as roots provide a tree with nourishment, so routes through the city also provide nourishment: food, water, access to green spaces, and the freedom to wander. Show us the roots and/or routes in your city. We are particularly keen to publish works that explore nature in cities that have not been as widely represented in the urban nature canon." Payment is $20 for accepted work. Enter by email.
