Stop the Hate: Youth Speak Out Essay Contest Grades 11-12
Deadline March 26 (must be received by this date), formerly January 20. Recommended free contest awards scholarships and prizes up to $20,000 for essays, fewer than 500 words, on the topic of discrimination. Essays must be true accounts, not fictitious stories. 2021 prompt is inspired by the life of civil rights leader John Lewis. Open to 11th and 12th graders in certain counties in Northeast Ohio.
