North Carolina State Fiction Contest
Deadline October 12, formerly October 14. Neutral free contest for North Carolina authors with no published fiction books awards $500 for fiction (up to 5,000 words) and $250 for shorter fiction (up to 1,200 words). Authors may enter one story in each category. UNC professors/instructors and previous winners are ineligible. Entries may not have been published previously either in print or online. Enter by mail or email.
