Western Australian Premier’s Book Awards
Deadline March 6 (must be received by this date), formerly February 20. Highly recommended free contest gives 8 A$15,000 prizes for the best book published or self-published during the preceding calendar year in a variety of genres. Contest is open to authors 18+ who are substantively residents of Western Australia. A Book of the Year prize of A$15,000 will be awarded for a published book in any genre written by a Western Australian resident. An A$15,000 prize for Children's Book of the Year will be awarded for a work of prose, poetry, or narrative nonfiction written for children (0-12 years old), in any genre, by an author residing in Western Australia. An Emerging Writer prize of A$15,000 is open to first-time published authors residing in Western Australia. See website for more details. Authors, publishers, or literary agents may nominate a title using the online form, then send 4 copies of book to the address provided during the online nomination process.
