My Bus Will Go On
(Based on "My heart will go on" by Celine Dion, and inspired by my high-school heartache—missing the school bus every morning.)Every morning at nine from my window,
I see you, I hear you,
That is how I know you'll,
Go on.
Far across the distance, and spaces,
Between us,
You have come to show you
Go on......
Near, far,
However early I start,
I believe that the school bus does,
Go on.....
Now, once more,
I rush to the door,
Hoping I won't be late, today the bus'll wait,
And not leave me, and go on and on..............
................................................................................
Bliss can come just one time,
And wait just a few extra minutes past nine,
And never leave till,
I'm on...............
Bliss was when I waited for You,
One true time, and of being late, I accused you;
And you didn't go till I,
Was on...
..............................................................................
But now, near, far—
However early I start,
I believe that the school bus does,
Go on.....
Once more,
I rush to the door,
Hoping I won't be late, today the bus'll wait,
And not leave me; and go on and on...........
The bus is here,
There's nothing I fear,
And I know that today I'll,
Get on, go on..........
And the teacher will say,
"Wow, you made it on time today!"
And for once I'll,
Do. No. Wrong......................
