David Stokes
David Stokes gained his PhD in genetics in 2006, and after a short research career went into management. He now manages a multi-institution research centre in London. David spends far too much of his time commuting between the beautiful rural idyll of Kent, where he lives with his wife and daughter, and the bustling metropolis of London. He uses the daily train journey to come up with ideas for stories, poems etc. In his spare time, David runs a small local charity, aiming to promote hands-on science education to children. He is currently putting the finishing touches to his second (no doubt un-publishable) novel, whilst dreaming of one-day becoming a full-time poet or writer of fiction.
