Duane Dodson has been writing poetry ever since he could pick up a pen, and he especially enjoys the art of recitation, having committed well over one hundred poems to memory. Currently an assistant professor of English at Stark State College, in Canton, Ohio, he favors traditional verse forms, and his primary poetic influence is Robert Frost. Duane is a past first-place prize winner of the Massachusetts State Poetry Society's National Poetry Day Contest. Other publishing credits include AIM (America's Intercultural Magazine), The Lyric, and Poetry Guild magazine.
