Jane Mitchell writes poetry and songs at sunrise in rural Montpelier, Virginia. A graduate of Bryn Mawr College with honors in philosophy, she has written about arts for magazines, taught alternative school English, and edited Medicaid proposals. She currently edits spiritual books and teaches ESL to refugees. Most evenings she plays rock piano, Renaissance recorder, or the Irish concertina. She enjoys composing with the music of words and digging into metaphysical questions.
