Joseph Hernandez lives in California and writes fiction that explores the dynamics of family life and the barriers that separate generations. His short story "The Christening of the Fruit" won The Los Angeles Review's Short Fiction Award in 2016, and several of his stories have appeared in various other places. A Southern California native, he currently teaches critical thinking and writing classes at colleges in the Inland Empire area.
