Laura Villareal is the author of Girl's Guide to Leaving (University of Wisconsin Press, 2022) and The Cartography of Sleep (Nostrovia! Press, 2018). She has also received fellowships from the Stadler Center for Poetry & Literary Arts and the National Book Critics Circle. Villareal earned an MFA in Creative Writing from Rutgers University-Newark and her writing has appeared in Guernica, American Poetry Review, AGNI, and elsewhere.
