Louis K. Lowy, a retired firefighter, is a struggling husband and father, struggling Florida International University creative writing student, struggling musician, struggling filmmaker, and an accomplished struggler. He is the recipient of a State of Florida Individual Artist Fellowship. His work has appeared in Coral Living Magazine and The Florida Book Review. He has recently completed his first novel And the Heavens Shall Part, a dark sci-fi drama with comedic overtones and is shopping for an agent. He is currently working on his second novel, Pedal, a non-dark non-sci-fi drama without comedic overtones. And yes, he is a proud member of John Dufresne's Friday Night Writers workshop.
