Mick O Seasnain
Mick Ó Seasnáin has continually attempted to farm his quarter acre lot in the small town of Wooster, Ohio while catering to the diverse and often unanticipated needs of his tripod-ish dog and three rowdy children. His wife tolerates his creative habits and occasionally enables his binges of writing and photography. Art and words—that's the short of it. Mick Ó Seasnáin has always enjoyed capturing beautiful moments with art and words.
Ó Seasnáin graduated from St. Edward High School (Lakewood, Ohio) and then completed a B.A. in English from Baldwin Wallace University followed by an M.A.T. in English from Miami University. He works with The National Writing Project through Kent State University, and he teaches English language arts for Edgewood Middle School in Wooster, Ohio.
By trade, Ó Seasnáin is a writing teacher, and just as an experienced chemist should probably teach chemistry, it takes a writer to teach writing. So he writes. His words have been published by Ohio Journal of English Language Arts (OJELA), The Submittable Blog, in The Wayne Literary Review, Pif Magazine, Literary Orphans, Up the River, Crack the Spine, Ghostwood Books website, The Mill, MidAmerican Fiction and Photography, The Legendary Literary Magazine, How to Succeed in College 2014 anthology, Ohio Teachers Write, and Teachers of Vision. Additionally, his artwork has appeared in Abstract Magazine, The Esthetic Apostle, Crack the Spine, and The Helix. Ó Seasnáin has presented his work at The Oxford Writing Festival, Baldwin Wallace University, the Ohio Council of Teachers of English Language Arts, Write Here! Write Now! for Kent State University, Tri-County Computer Service Association, several National Writing Project Invitational Summer Institutes, varied locations in The Wooster City School District, and Miami University.
Ó Seasnáin's artwork is also available through the Ohio Online Visual Artists Registry (OOVAR) and Ó Seasnáin is listed on the “Directory of Writers” on Poets & Writers website. See also his digital portfolio.
