Miller Adams's publications include a novel, This Weather of Hangmen, a children's book, Dinner at the Dog Pound, and two poetry collections: Sleeping on the Moon, which was runner-up for the Archibald Lampman prize, and the Cranberry Tree Press 1998 winner, Mondrian's Elephant. A book reviewer for several publications, including Canadian Bookseller and Bywords, former poetry editor for The Ottawa Citizen, writing instructor-facilitator in Canada and Chile, and editor/publisher as ADAR Press of chapbooks by her workshop groups, she is also a founding member of Canada's Field Stone Poets, with poems appearing in their chapbooks and their travel collection, Whistle for Jellyfish (BookLand Press, Toronto). Her work appears in over thirty literary magazines including Queen's Quarterly, Arc Poetry Magazine, several League of Canadian Poets Vintage anthologies, In a Fine Frenzy: Poets Respond to Shakespeare (University of Iowa Press), and in the forthcoming Lummox Press anthology, Tamaracks. Awards include two Aesthetica International Competitions, several Canadian Authors National Capital Region poetry and prose contests, and the Diana Brebner Prize. She is an introvert, synesthete, vegetarian, bibliophile, ailurophile, dedicated Luddite, and one of the last Victorians.
