I am retired, 67 years old, and started writing fiction about four years ago. I am married, have two grown children and live in Sun Lakes, AZ. I have just started writing short stories about young boys or teens. My main effort has been a novel titled The Summer of '37. I have a draft of 94K words, and I think it is about ready. I plan to query this fall. The two teen characters in "A Death on 33rd" are out of the novel, but the episode in my entry is not pulled from the novel, but written as a stand-alone. All my stuff takes place in the Depression years, even though I really wasn't around. Again, thank you and all the judges. I am so pleased.
Winning Entry: A Death on 33rd
