Vicki Wilke marinated for thirty-three years in the antics and tenderness of children, both in her teaching career and in raising two precocious daughters. Her rich journey continues in retirement, with more writing time, an elderly parent, and four lovely grandchildren. She has placed in multiple writing contests for adults and children, and is published in literary journals and anthologies. Poetry has accompanied her through obligations and challenges, has even saved her life on occasion. She is currently working on children's poetry anthologies and a chapbook.
