ABA Journal/Ross Writing Contest for Legal Short Fiction
Deadline May 1 (must be received by this date), formerly May 15. Recommended free contest gives $5,000 for a short story up to 5,000 words that "illuminates the role of the law and/or lawyers in modern society". Open to US citizens or legal permanent residents age 21+. Entries may be unpublished, or published no earlier than December 1 of the previous year. Submit via email.
