Madeleine Jackman Wins the 17th Annual Wergle Flomp Humor Poetry Contest
Madeleine Jackman of Denver, CO won the 17th annual Wergle Flomp Humor Poetry Contest sponsored by Winning Writers. Her entry, "The Swipe Sonnets", bested those of 4,748 other poets to receive the $1,000 prize. Second prize of $250 was awarded to Dolorem Ipsom for "Clock Signal: The Medulla of the Device". A special Third Prize of $150 was awarded to Sarah Cannavo of Maple Shade, NJ for "The 5 Stages of Being on Hold". $2,600 was awarded in all. This contest is free to enter.
