Narrative Magazine High School Writing Contest
Deadline February 5 (must be received by this date; don't enter before January 6), formerly February 1. Recommended free contest gives prizes up to $500 for unpublished poems by high school students in grades 9-12 on a theme that changes annually. The theme for 2025 is 'What I Cannot Say, I'll Say Here'. Student's English teacher must submit on behalf of entrant (one poem, 10-50 lines OR one story/essay, maximum 600 words) via sponsor's online submission system. Winners will be mentored and published in Narrative Magazine, a prestigious online journal. The schools of winners will also receive special recognition and prizes.
