Pattis Family Foundation Creative Arts Book Award
Deadline May 1 (must be received by this date). Highly Recommended contest from the Interlochen Center for the Arts gives $25,000 top prize for a full-length prose book "that centers on the creative process of an artist or the arts--broadly defined--as its theme" and was published in the past two years (2023 and 2024 copyright dates are eligible for the 2025-deadline contest). Sponsor seeks fiction and nonfiction "that inspires, illuminates, or exemplifies the creative process in fields such as creative writing, dance, film and new media, music, theatre, and visual arts". Winner will also receive a multi-day residency at Interlochen Arts Academy and the opportunity to join The National Writers Series lineup. Self-published titles are ineligible. Publisher or author may nominate a book online; sponsor will contact finalists in September to request 7 hard copies and a PDF of those books selected for further review.
