United States/Japan Creative Artists Residencies
Deadlines March 1 and March 21 (must be received by these dates), formerly March 29. Recommended free contest awards up to $28,000 stipend (depending on the duration of the residency) to up to five literary, visual, and performing artists for 3-to-5-month residencies in Japan. Email cover sheet application by March 1, and submit recent work samples (maximum 15 pages) and supporting materials online by March 21. Open to US citizens and permanent residents.
