Jennifer Teunon is the executive director of a family foundation in Seattle. She has spent her career in the nonprofit sector focused on many different issues including the arts, foster care, homelessness, and hunger. She has also been writing for as long as she can remember. When she was little and could first draw a squiggly line, she thought she was writing cursive, and remembers writing page after inspired page for days. That led to a stint with poetry in sixth grade, three years as a reporter for her high school newspaper, and a college internship writing for the Tacoma Arts Commission. As a grown-up, her writing has been more focused on writing grants, writing responses to thousands of emails, and writing blog posts about her love for nonprofits.
