Miranda Ward is a freelance writer and researcher. She is currently working towards a PhD in cultural geography at Royal Holloway, University of London, looking at the geographies of lap swimming and the indoor swimming pool. She holds an MA in creative writing, and her first book, F**k the Radio, We’ve Got Apple Juice: essays on a rock 'n' roll band, was published in 2013. She is also a staff writer for Vela. Originally from California, she has lived in the UK since 2008.
