Sian Lindsey is a freelance writer, journalist, and poet who was born and brought up in an Air Force family, forged a 22-year career in the Air Force herself, and has been traveling all her life. She earned degrees in mathematics and English from University of Maryland University College, an MFA from National University (California), and is currently undertaking a BSc (Hons) in diagnostic radiography at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Sian finds poetic inspiration in the beautiful landscapes and vibrant character of the world she encounters, and in the unusual experiences she collects along the way. She counts W. B. Yeats and Seamus Heaney among her favorite poets, and prefers traditional poetic forms and styles. Her goal is to merge the art and rhythm of traditional wordsmithery with modern themes and subjects to create something contemporarily beautiful.
