Although I earned a Masters degree in biology three decades ago, I am now a freelance writer, journalist, editor and writing educator. I firmly believe in the power of writing to make change, and I run a unique writing program for people who normally don't have access to educational opportunities. I have been nominated for the prestigious Voice Awards, and my poetry has also been shortlisted in the Surrey International Writers Conference poetry competition. I am an amateur oboist and live with my dog, Carlea, and cat, Noah, in Vancouver, BC.
