Alan Andres Picture Book Writer Fellowship
Deadline June 5 (must be received by this date). Recommended free contest from Associates of the Boston Public Library awards a $25,000 stipend for a children's book proposal for ages 0-2 or 3-8 by a US citizen or green card holder residing in New England (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Vermont). Submit a proposal (max 2 pages), writing sample (max 5 pages), and required questions via Submittable. Eligible projects may include fiction, nonfiction, memoir, or poetry. Graphic novels are not eligible. Contest is limited to authors who have not published any books for children.
