Brunel University African Poetry Prize
Deadline December 12 (must be received by this date; don't enter before October 30), formerly December 1. Highly recommended free contest awards 3,000 pounds for a selection of 10 poems, maximum of 30 lines apiece, by a writer who was born in Africa, who is a national of an African country, or whose parents are African. Authors must not have had a full-length poetry book published. Contest is sponsored by Brunel University, a public research university in London, in conjunction with the African Poetry Book Fund, a project of the University of Nebraska. Enter via email.
