Consequence Magazine: The America Feature/The Iran Feature
Deadline October 15 (must be received by this date). Consequence is a literary journal for poetry, fiction, nonfiction, translations, and artwork about the human impact of war and geopolitical violence. In addition to general submissions, they are currently reading for two special features. The America Feature seeks work that documents, illustrates, or addresses geopolitical violence in the US. The Iran Feature seeks Farsi-to-English translations "that examine the manifold human, cultural, psychological, or historical consequences of war in Iran." This is a paying market.
