Joan Corwin and Debbie Weingarten Win the 25th Annual Tom Howard/John H. Reid Fiction & Essay Contest
Joan Corwin of Evanston, Illinois won first prize in fiction and $1,500 for her story, "Length of Days". Debbie Weingarten of Tucson, Arizona won first prize in nonfiction and $1,500 for her essay, "The Mule Deer". 1,137 authors from around the world submitted 1,417 entries.
