Scottish Book Trust New Writers Awards
Deadline July 29 (must be received by this date). Recommended free contest awards 2,500 pounds and mentoring opportunities in each of five categories (Fiction and Narrative Nonfiction, Poetry, Children's and Young Adult Fiction, Spoken Word, and Scots) to emerging writers aged 18+, defined as authors who have not published a novel, narrative nonfiction book (e.g. biography or memoir), collection of short stories or poems, picture book or graphic novel. Residents of Scotland only. Submit a writing sample and required documents via sponsor's online submission form. Sponsored by Scottish Book Trust.
