After years of raising a family of four girls with her husband, John, Anita Zachary went back to school to pursue her dream of becoming a writer. She received her MFA from San Diego State University in 2016. She writes mostly fiction and what she calls hybrid poetry or poetry with a plot. She has recently finished work on a novella called Water" Her stories and poetry has appeared in journals such as Windmill and Raising Mothers. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and dog Lucy.
