Atoosa Grey is a poet, songwriter, and teacher. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School, where she was an honoree for the Paul Violi Poetry Prize. Her debut chapbook, Black Hollyhock, was published by Finishing Line Press. Her poems have appeared in journals including Right Hand Pointing, Mom Egg Review, and Best American Poetry blog. She has also released four independent CDs, her most recent being When the Cardinals Come. She lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband and two daughters.
