Christopher Lessick, originally from Greensburg, PA, attended Shippensburg University (PA) and later, Murray State University (KY) for his MFA. His writing has appeared in The American Fly Fisher, Kelp, The Evansville Review, Teach.Write, and The Pennsylvania Literary Journal. He teaches composition at Great Bridge High School in Chesapeake, VA, and is an adjunct at Tidewater Community College and Old Dominion University. Whether fly fishing in the mountains, surfing or playing volleyball on the beach, or watching or coaching his kids in various sports, he spends as much time as possible outside; hence, nature often plays a big part in his writing. He lives in Chesapeake with his wife and two children, and they have two dogs, a cat, an assortment of chickens, and honey bees. Lessick believes there is good in the world, and that each day everyone has the opportunity to add to it.
