I believe I was born to write. My first experience, at age eleven, was writing a play for my Sunday School class, which was performed for the church. In high school, I won an essay contest sponsored by a civic association. As a young mother, I wrote a weekly sports column for a local newspaper when my sons entered sports. I have two Christian mystery suspense novels and two children's books published. My favorite genre is short stories. I have won numerous short story awards, and my work has appeared in several anthologies including The Howl from Virginia Highlands Community College, Alalitcom from the Alabama Writers' Conclave, and the 37th John Fox, Jr. Literary Festival Lonesome Pine publication. I currently serve as President of the Appalachian Authors Guild, and belong to the Virginia Writer's Club, the Lost State Writer's Guild, and American Pen Women. More about me can be found at my web site: https://forhimpress.wordpress.com/.
