Shannon McAfee is an international development specialist who works in low-resource countries across Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean. She is an avid fiction writer who often draws inspiration from her experiences overseas but also enjoys writing speculative fiction fueled by her passion for metaphysics and quantum mechanics. Her work has been featured in The Northern Virginia Review. She lives in Bethesda, Maryland with her husband, three daughters, and a hairless dog.
