Steven B. Deng was first published in the Bluefire Anthology as a winner in the Leyla Beban Foundation writing contest. He is also authoring a science-fiction novel, which he plans to query to agents later this year. Steven was born in Guilin, China, and moved to North America at six years old. He currently lives in Orlando, Florida, and is a senior at Lake Highland Preparatory School, where he serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the LHPS writing club.
