FROM A PAST WINNER...
"I just wanted you to know how continually grateful I am for the Tom Howard/John H. Reid Fiction & Essay Contest and for your dedication to making the rewards for winning this contest exceptional. Just yesterday, after all these months, a neighbor asked to read my story. Having such a respected website to share, complete with my picture, gives me a certain credibility as a writer that I've never had before. Additionally, adding this prestigious award to my bio has had a very positive psychological impact on me, instilling a strong sense of empowerment. I hold this accomplishment dear, ranking it among my most cherished."
—Billie Kelpin, author of "Sylvia", winner of the 2023 Tom Howard/John H. Reid Fiction & Essay Prize for Fiction
