Recent Honors
Congratulations to Remi Recchia. His second full-length collection of poetry, Addiction Apocalypse, is available now for preorder from Texas Review Press, with a release date of February 15. He kindly shares a sample poem here.
Congratulations to William Huhn. His poetry collection Bachelor Holiday (BlazeVOX Books, 2024) was named a 2025 NYC Big Book Award Distinguished Favorite. The next deadline for this prize for independent, small press, or traditionally published books is December 30. William was interviewed about the inspiration for his book on Patzi Huhn's podcast Joy on Paper Live.
Congratulations to David R. Yale. His novel Getting Back Our Stolen Bootstraps was a runner-up in the Realistic Fiction category of the 2025 PenCraft Book Awards.
Congratulations to Stephen C. Pollock. His poetry collection Exits, winner of our 2024 North Street Book Prize in the Poetry category, has received 27 other awards thus far in judged national and international book competitions, including 12 first-place wins for poetry and three for book design. Highlights from 2025 include Gold Medals for Poetry in the President's Book Awards and the Readers' Choice Book Awards, and First Prizes for Poetry in the Firebird Book Awards, the PenCraft Book Awards, the Literary Titan Book Awards, the Pinnacle Book Achievement Awards, the Page Turner Book Awards, and the International Impact Book Awards.

Annie Dawid, author of Paradise Undone: A Novel of Jonestown (InkSpot Publishing, 2024), was interviewed on InkSpot's podcast on November 18, the 47th anniversary of the Jonestown massacre, about "Cults from the Victim's Perspective" (1-hour YouTube video).
Charles Sartorius's micro horror story "Final Submission" was published at Rat Bag Lit.
