Barbara Lefcowitz has published nine books of poetry, a novel, and individual poems, stories, and essays in over 500 journals. She has won fellowships and prizes from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the Maryland Arts Council, among many others. A graduate of Smith College (1956), she lives in Bethesda, MD and is also a visual artist.
