Connie Lounsbury is an author and educator who lives in rural Monticello, Minnesota with her husband David. Many of her short stories have been published in the US and Japan and she has received many writing awards. Her latest nonfiction book, released by Borealis Books September 2007, is Reaching Past The Wire: A Nurse At Abu Ghraib, written with Lt. Col. Deanna Germain. It was nominated for the Minnesota Book Award.
