Jakub Karolczyk
Jakub is a North Street Book Prize assistant judge, book critiquer, and contest administrator at Winning Writers. He holds a Master's degree in English Culture, Media, and Translation from the University of Silesia. In his thesis, he analyzed various English translations of neologisms found in Andrzej Sapkowski's novel The Last Wish and their defamiliarizing, immersive, and descriptive functions. His main areas of academic interest are localization and ludology: the study of video games and their impact on global culture.
