Jordan Guevara is a writer and native Angeleno, born and raised in Historic Filipinotown. He earned his MA from Cal State, Northridge, where he currently teaches, and earned his MFA from Antioch University. He is the winner of Lunch Ticket's Diana Woods Memorial Award in Creative Nonfiction, and his work has appeared in the Los Angeles Review of Books, the Los Angeles Review, and elsewhere.

Jordan is currently at work on a collection of essays framed around the death of his father and the path of atonement through memory. When not writing, Jordan spends his time getting to know the residents at his local cat sanctuary. He resides in Los Angeles with his wife and two rescue cats.
