Judy Willman was born in 1943 in a suburb of Seattle, Washington. She grew up in a family of 5 children and worked her way through 4 years at the University of Washington, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics Education. She married her childhood friend and high school sweetheart Ray in 1964, worked for five years at The Boeing Co. following graduation in 1965, and became a full-time stay-at-home mom with the birth of their daughter Jennifer in 1970 and son Chris in 1971. Judy has had a passion for horses since junior high. She and her husband now live on a 5-acre farm in Redmond, Washington. Writing and painting have been her main artistic releases, although she has also sung in a church choir continuously since 1965 and is active in the church drama group.
