M. Michelle Derosier (pen name Kayla Marie Pierre) is here to make a difference in her world for Christ. She is an ed-tech nonprofit professional driven to leverage technology to ensure that students in under-resourced schools have access to opportunities for success and the support system to leverage them. She loves to partner with others to do the same.
She holds a Bachelor's in Psychology from SUNY New Paltz and a Master's in Organizational Leadership with a concentration in Servant Leadership from Gonzaga University. Her short-form work has been published in Ebony, Jet, and Medium, among other publications. Michelle has also written for the educational market, including Capstone, Curriculum Associates, i-Ready, and Heinemann.
The cool kids' favorite nerd! Michelle writes culturally diverse stories with quirky, adventurous characters who help children bravely explore the world around them. She is the author of the children's biography, Ruby Bridges: Get to Know the Girl Who Took a Stand for Education.
Made in Haiti and bred in Brooklyn, M. Michelle Derosier now lives in Brooklyn with her supportive husband Dave. She wishes they had a dog.
