Mark Carlson, 51, lives in San Diego, with his wife, Jane. He is a freelance writer and aviation historian. He is a docent and researcher at the SD Air & Space Museum. Legally blind, he works with his Guide Dog, Musket, a male Yellow Lab. Past President of Poway-Black Mountain Toastmasters, with ACS and CL awards, he established the FUNspeakable historical lecture series for local organizations, adult communities and schools. He has written six novels, including Promises to Keep (Paragon Press e-book, 2010) and Confessions of a Guide Dog - the Blonde Leading the Blind (iUniverse, 2011), and is currently working on a book on aviation in film.
