I'm 58 years old and live quietly in Fargo, North Dakota with my cat, Karma. I started writing ten years ago as an older college freshman who became an English Writing major. I had poems and short stories published in Troubadour's Lantern, Inkwell Magazine, Afterworks, Red Weather Magazine, and the Fargo Forum newspaper. Due to failing health I was forced to quit college in 2005, ended up basically housebound on disability, and haven't done any "formal" writing since. Winning this contest is a blessing beyond words!
Winning Entry: Baby Girl
