inScribe: “Childhood” Issue
Deadline June 30 (must be received by this date). inScribe is an Australian journal of creative writing, affiliated with Tabor College, a Christian liberal arts college. For Issue #6, they are seeking poetry, 50 lines maximum per poem, and fiction and creative nonfiction, 3,500 words maximum, on the theme of Childhood. See website for sample work from past issues and the instructions for formatting your online submission. Editors say, "Our new theme, Childhood, asks us to venture back in time, to glimpse again the world through the eyes of a child, to bring to light the wonder, confusion, hopes, fears, relationships, and memories that speak to what it's like to be young in the world... We fully expect a rich and varied round of submissions, from the childish to the childlike, the humorous to the tragic, fun, poignant, insightful and above all memorable."
