Henry Crawford

Henry Crawford's work has appeared in several journals and online publications including Boulevard, Copper Nickel and The Southern Humanities Review. His first collection of poetry, American Software, was published in 2017 by CW Books. His poem "Blackout" was selected by the Southern Humanities Review as a finalist in the 2018 Jake Adam York Witness Poetry Contest. His multimedia poem, "Windows and Secrets", was a finalist in the 2018 Slippery Elm Journal Multimedia Poetry Contest. He uses humor in his work as a way of creating access to the serious and often paradoxical experience of ordinary life. He volunteers in the DC poetry community, serving as MC and co-director for The Word Works Cafe Muse Literary Salon, the Joaquin Miller Poetry Series, and A Splendid Wake, an archive of DC poets sponsored by George Washington University.
