Sophie Develyn

Sophie Develyn is a writer of short, bold fiction and poetry. Her work is full of humour and tenderness, cross-pollinated by everything she is drawn to—theatre, music, myth, cartoons, and stand-up comedy. Sophie has an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University, and has had short stories published online and in print. Performing poetry is a fairly new adventure for Sophie, she's been writing obsessively and performing at open mics in Bristol, UK.
Influences: Patricia Lockwood's memoir Preistdaddy, Tommy Pico's Nature Poem, and Hera Lindsay Bird's poetry collections. For longer fiction, she loves Cloudstreet by Tim Winton and Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides, and would love to whip up her own epic one day.
